Why Kuje? What investors should know

Location, growth and breadth: why the chamber believes Kuje Area Council belongs on every FCT investor’s shortlist.

KCCIMA Secretariat1 min read

Kuje Area Council sits in the south of the Federal Capital Territory, about 15 minutes from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and within reach of Abuja’s urban market. For investors, that combination of access and room to grow is the starting point.

Kuje is one of the fastest-growing districts in the FCT, with a growing population and improving infrastructure. Growth brings demand: for homes and commercial space, for food and its processing, for building materials and for the services a modern community needs.

The opportunity is also broad. Agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy, solid minerals are a strategic resource, and manufacturing, construction, energy, the creative industries and the digital economy are all open for investment.

The chamber’s role is to make that opportunity easier to act on. Investors who contact us receive a briefing on their sector, regulations and costs, and we can arrange site visits and introductions to vetted local partners.

We also help investors through registration, permits and engagement with government, and we stay in touch once they are operating. Foreign investors are welcome: Nigeria permits foreign-owned companies to register and operate, and our founding leadership has built relationships in China, with dedicated China contact lines.

If you are considering Kuje, start with an enquiry through the Invest in Kuje page. We aim to respond to every investor enquiry within 2 working days.
