From the exhibition floor: mechanisation partnerships for Kuje farmers
The chamber’s founding leadership met agricultural machinery manufacturers in China to explore partnerships that could bring modern equipment within reach of local farmers.

Farming is the backbone of Kuje’s economy, and mechanisation is one of the most direct ways to raise yields and incomes. That is why agricultural machinery has been an early focus of the chamber’s international engagement.
At agricultural machinery exhibitions in China, members of the chamber’s founding leadership met manufacturers of tractors, harvesters and other farm equipment, including at the Zoomlion and Sunward stands, to understand the equipment available and how partnerships might work.
The aim is practical: to explore routes such as distribution, servicing and training arrangements that could make modern machinery more accessible to Kuje’s farmers and cooperatives.
Mechanisation is one of five opportunity themes for the chamber’s agriculture sector, alongside food processing and value addition, agro-export, storage and cold chain, and cooperative strengthening.
These engagements are the beginning of a conversation, not a finished deal. Members will hear first as partnerships take shape. Farmers, agribusinesses and cooperatives interested in mechanisation are encouraged to join the chamber and register their interest.
